So I went on to register myself as a contributor of the JV event I mentioned in my last post.

Just in case, JV Giveaway is an event that typically has these features:

• Run by a site owner offering free gifts to visitors.
• Typical gifts are eBooks, reports, scripts, softwares, graphics and memberships.
• These gifts are collected from participants of the event and they are usually called contributors.
• It is a joint effort where promotions are done by both the site owner and contributors.
• Lasts from several days to weeks.
• Very often, contributors are accepted by-invitation-only, meaning you’ll have to be invited by someone to become a contributor.

JV events are usually run through out the year while more will be organised around certain festivals such as New Year, Christmas, Easter, etc to take advantage of the heightened celebration mood around those times.

So what’s the W-I-I-F-M for everyone involved?

• The visitors get free gifts,
• the site owner get new leads as every visitor needs to sign up as a member before they can browse what’s on offer and
• Whenever a member choose a gift to download, he/she will typically have to optin to the contributor’s list. So the contributor builds his/her list.

So everyone came out of the event a happy person and this is the secret why JV events are so popular and successful. It is so attractive as everyone gain something without much cost if any.

Now let’s go back to JV registration process. It’s a simple process of giving your name, email, userid, password and an additional info or two.

You’re then sent a verification email confirmation before you can log in.

Next critical step is to prepare your gift and optin process. I will share how to go about doing this with you in next posting.

Assuming you got this portion ready, now go submit the gift to the site for approval. You usually do this under the heading “Manage Gift”. In most cases you’ll have to enter product title, description, image upload, optin page URL and download page URL.

Generally site owner requires a review before letting your gift to appear on their site. Acceptance is usually not an issue as I have never had any problem getting my gifts to pass.

The only time my gift did not get accepted was when the site owner requires your own original product to be offered. He did not accept any others such as products you obtained through PLR licenses or similar. This is quite rare though - if I see in my past experiences. I could observe that this type of restriction happens when the site owner is a well-known marketer who can afford to command such a high standard.

As the key to your success is - taking action – so I strongly urge you to signup to any of those JV events listed here at this link and experience for yourself the benefits of such an event. If you don’t feel like wanting to become a contributor yet, just register as a member where you can get to download gifts for free.
